Ukraine

Ukraine is a country located in Eastern Europe. It is bounded by Belarus to the north, Russia to the northeast and east, the Sea of Azov to the southeast, Crimea to the south, and Moldova, Romania, Hungary, and Poland to the west. Ukraine is known for its diverse landscapes, which include plains, plateaus, and mountains, as well as its fertile soil, making it one of the world’s largest agricultural producers.

Kyiv is the capital and largest city of Ukraine. The country has a rich history and cultural heritage, influenced by various civilizations over the centuries, including the Kievan Rus, Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth, and the Russian Empire. Ukraine declared independence from the Soviet Union on August 24, 1991, which is now celebrated annually as Independence Day.

The official language is Ukrainian, and the currency is the hryvnia (UAH). Ukraine has a unitary parliamentary republic government structure and is known for its vibrant folk traditions, music, and art. The nation has faced significant challenges, including political tensions and conflicts, particularly involving its relations with Russia in recent years.
